half of all contributions go directly to humanitarian charities, currently supporting relief efforts in Sudan, Congo, Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia through vetted organizations like ICNA Relief, Life for Relief and Development, Sudan Relief Fund, Doctors Without Borders, Baitulmaal, Muslim Aid, Zakat Foundation of America, Helping Hand (HHRD), Human Appeal, and Islamic Relief Worldwide. the other half helps us build new features and keep nafs ad-free.

Is nafs only for women?

not at all. nafs is for every Muslim. the "For Her" features (cycle tracking, symptom insights, Islamic guidance during menstruation) are optional and only visible if you choose to enable them.

Does the Fajr alarm update itself when fajr time shifts?

yes. nafs ships a Siri Shortcut that installs a real Clock alarm for fajr. each day it auto-deletes the prior fajr alarm before creating the new one, so the alarm always matches today's fajr time and never duplicates.

yes. nafs includes a full set of iOS Lock Screen widgets for prayer times, next prayer countdown, qibla direction, and dhikr counters. all of them respect the system's accent and tint.

yes. guest mode is fully supported. you can track prayers, read Quran, log dhikr, and journal without ever signing up. you can create an account later if you want encrypted cloud backup across devices.

yes. CarPlay is supported for prayer times and adhan playback, so you can stay connected to your salah even on the road.

Does the cycle tracker use the cloud?

no. cycle predictions run entirely on your device using a small on-device LSTM model. your cycle data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly turn on encrypted cloud backup.

optional. you can opt into prayer-time push notifications, a daily verse, a daily hadith, and gentle nudges if you've missed a prayer window. everything is off by default and tuneable per category.

yes. nafs registers App Intents for Siri, so you can say things like "hey Siri, log fajr", "play adhan", or ask for the next prayer time. a Shortcuts gallery inside the app lets you install custom alarms and routines.

Is the cycle tracker reviewed by anyone?

the fiqh guidance inside the cycle tracker is sourced from classical rulings and reviewed against contemporary Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali positions. for medical decisions, nafs can export an encrypted PDF you can share with a healthcare provider.
